  Any service needs money to continue their operations, and time to maintain the service and keep things in order. Buzzheavier is funded by its users and advertisement revenue. If the account gets low, we can always send someone around with a tin can and a spoon

How file retention works?

The example below assumes that you have already exceeded your storage limit.

Initial Upload:

• You upload a file on June 1st at 12:00 PM.
• The file is set to expire on June 11th at 12:00 PM (10 days from the upload).

Download Activity:

• On June 5th at 10:00 AM, someone downloads the file.
• The expiry time is extended by 30 minutes to June 11th at 12:30 PM.
• On June 10th at 2:00 PM, another download occurs.
• The expiry time is extended by another 30 minutes to June 11th at 1:00 PM.
• On June 11th at 12:00 PM, another download occurs
• The expiry time is extended by another 30 minutes to June 11th at 1:30 PM.
• File expires and deleted at 1:30PM

Maximum Extension:

• If the file continues to be downloaded frequently, the expiry time can keep being extended in increments of 30 minutes.
• However, this extension can only accumulate up to a maximum of 30 buffer days.
